Savouring a challenge with dedication and passion: this is what drives Liquigas in the world of sport. And 2009 looks set to be a year packed with exciting challenges. The team led by Roberto Amadio is ready with its key riders. Our team is formed by a combination of our vision in previous years and new strategies, just like any business striving for progress and improvement.

The most notable new entry has filled with the newspapers with gossip and our hearts with hope. Hope and pride, because bringing a champion of the calibre of Ivan Basso back to cycling is a great responsibility. His desire to make a clean and honest comeback was recognised by Liquigas Sport, an association that’s willing to support the aspirations of athletes who display talent combined with commendable values such as honesty, professionalism and dedication. All the boys in green and blue, especially those who have worn our jersey for a long time have demonstrated these qualities, so we are expecting to achieve fantastic results in 2009.

As ever, we will prove with the work of our superb staff to each and every one of our athletes what it means to have the daily support of a sports association that wants to lead by example. We would like to thank the businesses that work with us so enthusiastically, the public who have grown to love our team, those who work in the cycling industry and the media.
